Speedway presents Phenomenal Cat & The Beaux Fibbers

Speedway is excited to have a Sunday afternoon of Live Music, Drinking & Fun with this absolutely superb double bill. Come and support Folkestone artists in the comfort of Folkestone’s newest fairground themed venue.

PHENOMENAL CAT are a power pop arty six-piece from Sandgate, Kent and have been a huge part of the Folkestone Music Scene for well over a decade. Described as “Pop Art for your Ear Holes”. Eccentric British Rock and Pop influences – The Who, The Kinks, The Jam, The Smiths, Blur – run throughthe bands powerful  yet melodic sound.

Lyrically the band uses on-point humour, social comment and Albarn / Weller / Davies characterisations to investigate a dream-like version of a severely disenfranchesised England.

THE BEAUX FIBBERS … How to describe them ….A Riot of Absurdist Blues and Compulsive Rock! In one word Fantabulosa!!!! That comes pretty close.
