As part of our ongoing commitment to enabling access to quality musical education for all, Folkestone Music Town CIC provides a number of free workshops to the local community.

Running a series of workshops both in May and year-round across the district has allowed us to develop our workshop process. Partnering with organizations such as Kent Family Hub,The Shed (Hythe), Lydd Youth Set and multiple schools and rural communities.

We have been able to understand better some of the nuances related to delivering workshops to different group sizes and demographics. This has helped us adapt to the specific needs of whichever group we are working with.

This has helped us identify opportunities in different areas and gain a better understanding of the suitability of venues. Using spaces local to the groups we have worked with has also helped us make a financial contribution to several small community organisations and small businesses.
