Are you an aspiring musician yearning for recognition but lacking the necessary gear to kickstart your music career?
Or are you an established musician who wishes to expand your reach and connect with a wider audience?
No matter who you are, or what your music is, you’re invited to participate in The Big Buskout event that will be held as a part of the MIM Festival in Folkestone this coming May.
Every Saturday throughout the month of May, designated busking spots with mini PA/speaker/mics will be set up throughout Folkestone for you to showcase your musical talents.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to shine and leave a lasting impression on your listeners.
Participation is completely free, and all the donations you receive during your performance are entirely yours to keep.
We welcome all musicians and all styles so we can show the breadth of Folkestone’s scene and talent during Music in May.

Our slots are available between 10:00-16:00, every Saturday in May until the 24th. On the 31st May, we will be inviting selected buskers to participate in our Grand Closing weekend.
These slots are offered on a first come, first serve basis.
We have a number of “busking kits” (PA/Amp/Mics, etc.) available for use, and will have a busking co-ordinator on hand to assist with setup, etc. Please indicate your requirements regarding equipment when applying.
