Nick Lawrence
“Nick Lawrence has an innate ability to draw you into his world…His voice invites you to travel through his songs with delight.” – Simply Folk Magazine
Having supported the likes of award winning folk singer and multi-instrumentalist Seth Lakeman, and 2023 UK Americana Awards Best Live Act nominees The Noble Jacks, Nick Lawrence is quickly gaining a reputation as a respected songwriter and a captivating performer.
From Folkestone in Kent, Nick has spent much of 2025 travelling the UK and introducing himself to new audiences. From the UK West Coast Folk Festival in Blackpool, to Filey Folk Festival, to Ely Folk Festival (where he won their Spotlight Competition), and then back to Kent’s own Rochester Sweeps and Sandwich Folk & Ale festivals, Nick has gained a loyal following along the way.
In 2024, Nick released his EP ‘Of Ash & Oak’, and quickly followed it up with another EP ‘Growing Up, Growing Old or Dying’, both proving highly popular with old and new fans alike.
Whether performing his own self-penned compositions or drawing from the well of traditional folk songs, Nick takes the audience on a journey which, within the space of a few songs, will have the audience in absolute silence whilst he performs a heartstring-tugging ballad to raucously accompanying Nick in call and response songs.
