Love singing, but don’t want the commitment of joining a choir?
Folkestone Singing Club is a relaxed weekly singing session where you can simply turn up, sing, and enjoy making music together. There are no performances to prepare for, no auditions, no expectation to practise at home, and no need to attend every week – just come whenever you can.
Led by Josie Matcham, Musical Director of Folkestone A Cappella, each session explores well-loved songs with live piano accompaniment in a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. Lyrics are provided, there’s no need to read sheet music, and everyone is welcome, whatever your experience.
Although the sessions are relaxed and informal, you’ll still enjoy singing in harmony and leaving with the feeling of having made great music together.
Singing has been shown to boost wellbeing, reduce stress, improve confidence and bring people together, making Folkestone Singing Club as much about community as it is about music.
