I have over 45 years experience as a professional violinist, performing internationally as featured soloist with Irish dance spectacular “Spirit of the Dance” to sell out arenas in the USA, Europe and Australia. Previously with cult all-girl band The Well Oiled Sisters, including TV and Radio; two albums; touring with Morrissey and appearing on the same line up with incredible musicians, including Van Morrison, Suzanne Vega, The Pet Shop Boys and Boy George at major UK and international festivals such as Celtic Connections, WOMAD, Edinburgh, PRIDE and WOMADelaide. In 2007, I was shortlisted for the BBC Radio Play Composer-in-Residence Award and founded Shapeshifter Productions, delivering award-winning community music projects such as The Smiling Sessions—now in its 15th year—and large-scale works including WILDFIRE! supported by the Scottish Arts Council and Arts Council England. I was delighted to be acknowledged as a Cultural Star for the London Borough of Culture Waltham Forest 2019 for my contributions to community engagement in the arts. I now live in Sandgate and loving the creative, musical vibe by the sea!
