This unique event is put on by the Noel Redding Project, to raise funds for the proposed statue for local icon Noel Redding, to be created by his niece Lace Redding in central Folkestone, Noel who was born in Folkestone, and went to primary school in Hythe and to the Harvey Grammar school, played in many local bands, before his stardom with the Jimi Hendrix Experience, he later went on to play in Fat Mattress, as well as road., and the Noel Redding band.

The Stealer band play regular around Kent, and with lead guitarist Neil Roberts, well known for playing one of the best progressive blues bands ‘Freak Flag’ who played regularly at the Chambers, as well as the Bandstand at Folkestone.
