Come and join us for our sixth Sand and Stone Sessions gig! These bi-monthly nights will feature performances from Sand and Stone and some of the amazing artists we have met along the way.
This month’s Sessions artist is our good friend and fellow Folkestonian singer/songwriter writer Lucy May Walker. Lucy May began her career busking on the streets of London where she was discovered by Jeremy Vine who then invited her onto both his BBC Radio 2 & TV Talk shows. Her most recent single ‘Kiss Me At Midnight’ got played on the penultimate episode of Love Island UK after a successful social media campaign.Lucy has supported the likes of Texas, Wet Wet Wet & Lucy Spraggan as well as selling out numerous shows of her own across the UK. She hosts ‘Lucy May Walker’s Writer’s Round’ on the last sunday of the month at The Music Workshop in Folkestone, which regularly sells out.
Where: The Music Workshop
Doors: 7pm
Lucy May Walker will be performing her acoustic set at 7.45pm, followed by Sand and Stone with their full band sound at 9pm.
Tickets are £8, with a third of all sales being donated to a UK based conservation charity who work help to protect the beautiful world we live on.
We hope to see some new and old faces coming down to enjoy the music and have a bit of a boogie!
