//////////////ARTIST INFORMATION//////////////
Yesterday’s Flowers – aka vocalist Lucy, guitarist Tom, drummer Matt and bassist Ollie – are a Folkestone band playing sun-soaked, cosmic rock as championed by BBC Radio 6 Music and BBC Music Introducing.
Expect hypnotic chords, swelling organ and shimmering vocals that dance between the ethereal and the primal – all served on a mesmeric rhythm section.
Since releasing their first three singles in 2023, the band have played a string of sold-out shows in Margate and Folkestone, including a joint headliner with Congratulations (Bella Union) and SKIES at Folkestone’s Quarterhouse, a support slot for Austin noise-pop band, DAIISTAR (Fuzz Club) and their own headline slot at The Music Workshop, which sold out a week in advance.
Early radio support has come from BBC Music Introducing (“Yesterday’s Flowers are always making songs that just sound like timeless classics – WHAT a band” says Abbie McCarthy), BBC Radio 6 Music (The Huey Show) as well as local stations from Folkestone to Montréal.
The band’s debut EP is set for release on Fri 13 Dec 2024, accompanied by a limited edition cassette which features an exclusive side of unreleased acoustic versions.

Folkestone duo, Lorel, create easygoing folk tunes from the UK coast.
BBC Radio Kent’s Abbie McCarthy (and a number of other people, incidentally) describe their sound as being “like a warm hug”.
Almost entirely self-produced in their bedroom in Folkestone, Kent, their debut album Idle is contemplative, sometimes creaky – played over squeaky floorboards & screaming seagulls. It stares at damp sand, breeze-worn trees, rainy but hopeful winters – at brighter futures.
On release week in August 2024, the album was chosen to be the Album Spotlight on BBC Introducing and multiple songs have received good airtime.
As well as being played on a number of local radio stations, they’ve also been featured in numerous tastemaker playlists on Spotify – having now received more than 30,000 streams in the first few months of release.

Vesu play melodic, atmospheric minimalist alt-rock songs capturing those freeze-frame moments in life.
Their live shows embrace a loud/quiet dynamic with lilting harmonies and heady guitar drones creating a luscious dreamscape to lose yourself in.
The band released their debut self-titled album in April of this year, launching it with a packed-out show at The Beer Shop Folkestone.
